Having taught music technology for over twenty years, I have developed and refined many different types of music tech assignments for both music majors and non-music students. This presentation explores some of these projects and examines both the design and methods of assessment. What makes a good project rubric? What are some of the challenges to providing meaningful feedback? Examples will include projects from Audacity, GarageBand, Logic Pro and Reason.
